How we handle personal data submitted through this website, and the rights you have over it.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Quantara Data Ltd (“Quantara Data”, “we”, “us”). For the personal data described in this policy, we are the data controller.

2. What data we collect

When you contact us through this website, we collect the details you choose to provide, which may include:

  • Your name and the company you represent
  • Your email address and, if you provide it, your phone number
  • The content of your message or project enquiry

This site uses a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service (Vercel Web Analytics) for aggregate visitor statistics, and sets no cookies. Fonts are served from our own server rather than a third-party network, so simply browsing the site does not send your data to advertising or tracking networks.

Separately, where you engage us to process data on your behalf (for example, files sent for data entry), that data is handled under our services agreement and, where applicable, a Data Processing Agreement - not under this website policy. In that context you are the controller and we act as your processor.

3. How we use your data

We use the details you submit only to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and correspond with you about it
  • Scope and quote any work you ask us about
  • Keep a record of our correspondence

We do not use your contact details for unrelated marketing, and we never sell or share them with third parties for their own purposes.

4. Lawful basis

We rely on our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries about our services, and - where you are asking us to quote or begin work - on taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract. Where consent is the appropriate basis, you are free to withdraw it at any time.

5. Who processes your data

Enquiries submitted through the website forms are delivered to us by a third-party form-handling service (web3forms, acting as our processor solely to pass your message to us); if that delivery fails, the form opens your email client addressed to us instead. We put appropriate safeguards in place with any provider that handles personal data on our behalf.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence only for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records, after which it is deleted. Data processed as part of a client engagement is retained according to the terms of that engagement and removed on completion unless you ask us to retain it.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Ask us to erase your data, or restrict how we use it
  • Object to processing based on our legitimate interests
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format, where applicable

To exercise any of these, email Contact@QuantaraData.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe we have handled your data improperly.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised.
