What we do with your golden thread records
Most dutyholders hold the right documents. They are scattered across drives and inboxes, inconsistently named, with no version history and no index. Under the Building Safety Act, that state of the information is the problem: the regulator needs to see a structured, current, findable thread.
We process the records into that state. Every project starts with a free gap-check of your file inventory against the prescribed information set, so you know where you stand before committing to anything.

- Receive - we review supplied digital scans, PDFs and CDE exports
- Structure and index - consistent naming and folder structure, with a document register and metadata
- Version reconciliation - superseded versions archived and marked, current versions identified
- Gap-check - records flagged against the golden thread document list, with a gap report
- Validate - duplicates removed, dates and statuses reconciled, machine-learning-assisted error checks
- Deliver - an indexed register and manifest, ready for your CDE or the regulator

What do you need from us to scope the work?
A file inventory or a look at what you hold: folder structure, document types and rough volumes. We gap-check it against the golden thread document list and give you a scope and a fixed quote. The gap-check itself is free.
Do you write the safety case report?
No. The safety case report is the principal accountable person's assessment and should stay theirs. We prepare the evidence base it relies on: structured, indexed, validated records with the gaps recorded.
Can you work with our CDE?
Yes. We work inside common data environments including Asite, Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, Viewpoint, ProjectWise and Trimble Connect, or deliver a structured file set if you prefer.
How long does a golden thread processing project take?
It depends on volume and condition: a few hundred records might take days; a full legacy backfile takes weeks. We scope a schedule with the quote and report against it, and we size for deadlines like building assessment applications.
Is our data safe with you?
Yes. We are UK GDPR and DPA 2018 compliant, keep it secure and access-controlled, never share it with third parties, and work with vetted staff under NDAs. We will sign your data processing agreement.
